Urko Cherta and Jordi Hidalgo took part in the first in-person meeting of this select working group held in Madrid.
The Valencia CF Academy recently took part in the first in-person meeting of the RFEF’s Football Methodology Expert Committee—a working group made up of coaching specialists from various national and international clubs, all with extensive experience at the highest level of the game.

Urko Cherta, Technical Coordinator of the VCF Academy, and Jordi Hidalgo, Head of the Methodology Department at the VCF Academy, attended this select working group meeting held at the RFEF headquarters. The session was also attended by David Gutiérrez, Director of the National Coaching School, along with representatives from clubs such as Athletic Bilbao, RCD Mallorca, Venezia FC, and Al Gharafa.

The VCF Academy follows a well-recognized training methodology, grounded in its identity #JugarAFoc, which in recent years has earned it recognition as the fourth-best academy in Europe for developing players to compete at the elite level, according to the CIES Football Observatory (+INFO).

The VCF Academy’s objective is to remain in constant evolution, continuously evaluating and improving its approach. A recent example of this commitment was the seminar hosted at Valencia CF’s Ciutat Esportiva under the theme: “Inconsistencies in Youth Football Under Debate: A Complex Systems Perspective.”
